Terms

Last updated: 6 September 2026

These terms cover your use of PIN — the mobile app, the marketing site, and the API. By signing up or using the app, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English, not legalese, because clarity matters more than ceremony.

What PIN is

PIN is a personal-library app: a place to save links, images, screenshots, notes, and other content you find across the internet, then organize and retrieve them — including by asking an AI agent. It's built by Harshit Singh (a solo founder) and operated from India.

Availability and updates

PIN is available on the iPhone App Store. Android availability depends on the current Google Play release stage. Features may be updated as the service develops. You can export your saved library from Account in the app.

Your account

You need an account to use PIN. You agree to provide accurate information at sign-up, keep your credentials private, and let us know if you suspect your account has been compromised. We use Clerk for authentication; their terms govern the storage of your credentials.

You must be at least 13 years old to use PIN (16+ if you're in the EU/UK). If you're using PIN on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to do so.

Your content stays yours

You retain the rights you already hold in your original content. Saving someone else's work does not transfer its ownership to you; respect the rights and permissions attached to that material.

By saving content to PIN, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. Specifically, we can:

  • store your pins in our database so you can see them later;
  • fetch metadata from links you save (titles, descriptions, article text) on your behalf;
  • process supported saves automatically and send relevant content and instructions to AI providers for analysis, Pebble, Studio and note actions, as described in our Privacy Policy;
  • display shared collections to invited members with access, or to anyone with the link when you choose to publish a collection.

We don't use your content to train AI models, run ads, or sell to third parties.

AI features — what they can and can't do

PIN uses third-party AI for save analysis, Pebble answers, Studio drafts and other assistance. These features can use your saved content and web research. A few important limits:

  • AI responses can be wrong. Treat them as a starting point, not gospel. Verify anything that matters.
  • The agent does not provide medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice. If you ask it about an emergency, it'll tell you to call a real human or local emergency services.
  • You're responsible for what you save and what you ask. If you save illegal content or instruct the agent to do something illegal, that's on you, not us.

Acceptable use

Use PIN for your own personal saving. Don't do any of the following:

  • abuse the share extension, API, or AI tools to mass-scrape third-party services;
  • upload or share content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or is meant to harm others;
  • attempt to circumvent rate limits, daily AI budgets, or authentication controls;
  • try to access pins or accounts that aren't yours, or reverse-engineer the service to find vulnerabilities (security research with prior written permission is welcome — email us);
  • use PIN to harass, dox, or impersonate someone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For severe violations, we may do so without notice.

Public collections and sharing

You can choose to make any of your collections public, generating a shareable link. Once shared:

  • anyone with the link can view the pins in that collection without a PIN account;
  • shared content can be screenshotted, copied, or reposted by viewers — once it's out, you can't take it back from them, only revoke future access by deleting the link;
  • you remain responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the content (e.g. don't share copyrighted material you don't have permission to redistribute).

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee any specific uptime. PIN may be unavailable for maintenance, fixes, or because a third-party provider (Vercel, Neon, OpenAI, etc.) is experiencing issues.

Pricing

Available plans, prices and usage limits are shown in the app or applicable store before purchase. Review the displayed subscription, renewal and cancellation terms when choosing a paid plan.

Export, deletion, account closure

You can export all of your data as JSON from Account → Export my data at any time. You can delete your account from Account → Delete account. For the scope of in-app deletion and requests covering remaining uploads or service-held records, see our account deletion page.

We may terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we shut PIN down. In either case, we'll give you 30 days of notice and a way to export your data first, except for severe violations where immediate termination is necessary.

Disclaimers

PIN is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't make any warranties — express or implied — about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The metadata, summaries, AI responses, and other generated content surfaced through PIN may be inaccurate; don't rely on them for decisions that matter.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PIN's liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero). We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data or lost profits.

Third-party content

When you save content from third-party services (Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.), the content remains subject to those platforms' own terms. PIN gives you a way to organize what you've encountered; it does not grant you any new rights to that underlying content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. If a specific provision of these terms turns out to be unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the rest of the terms still apply.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll email registered users and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept them. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
